Koomerang Ski Club was founded in 1957 by a group including students, parents, teachers and Old Boys of Scotch College, Melbourne. A lodge was built at Mt Buller, followed by the construction of a lodge at Thredbo in 1965, the purchase of two apartments at Falls Creek in 1973 and the purchase of a small lodge at Mt Hotham in 1982.

The club now  has around 610 members.

Since then, major redevelopments and refurbishments have been made to the lodges, particularly to Mt Buller and Thredbo.Click  for more information about the four lodges in this website.
